AMBERGRIS
Instrumental stoner rock /doom metal band Ambergris hails from Southern New England (Providence, RI) and they create a sound that obliterates eardrums with audio witchcraft, Blending their many influences into a symphony of sonic sludge... A funeral for your ears from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean!! Ambergris was formed in the age of Covid, year one October 2020 by guitarist/bassist Joe Bernard and ex- WREAK drummer Rob Cinami. Ambergris drags the listener down into the abyss and drowns them with the soundtrack from the apocalypse, a juggernaut of dirty riffs and rhythms. Creating atmospheric ambience one minute and twisting it into aggressive mid-tempo assaults of nasty tones the next.
Influences include, but aren't limited to: Black Sabbath, High On Fire, Pelican, Sleep, Eyehategod, etc.

Reviews :
"Ambergris is an instrumental Doom/Stoner Metal duo who bring a variety of different sounds from the underground scene with a multitude of different influences ranging from Pelican, Monolord, Russian Circles. High On Fire and Black Sabbath. Each of the four tracks that makes up their spellbinding debut album have a different theme and sound to each other as Ambergris merge dark progressive grooves with an unforgiving Post-Metal delivery... impressive drumming from Rob Cinami with Joe Bernard on Guitars laying down a heavy monolithic Psych Stoner Metal charge into the mix."

Buzzslayers (USA)
"...heavy, filthy and slow. New England duo Ambergris have hammered out a Self-Titled doom/sludge instrumental monolith. Thick tones. No vocals. Just pure heaviness."
